The Entry THREES Program at Children’s House is a perfect program for children who are turning three years old in the fall or for children who have not had a previous pre school experience. Our dedicated, nurturing staff will encourage your little one to feel safe while away from mom and dad. Children do not need to be toilet learned for this program and our teachers will encourage toilet learning once parents have introduced this concept at home. A typical day consists of outdoor exploration in our courtyard and tree house, using our playnasium to build gross motor skills, snack time, discovery time to build independence, lesson time to introduce the areas of curriculum (language, math, science and practical life/fine motor-social awareness) and circle time with music and movement. At the beginning of the year your child will be introduced to the areas of curriculum through activities placed on the tables during free choice time. As the year progresses, your child will slowly learn to meet in small groups through four short presentations. Your child may have a longer day by joining our extended care after this morning class.
